The following fares and charges apply to
taxis hired in
N S W Country Areas at tariff 1 rate.

tariff 2 applies for all trips after the first 12 kilometers travelled, so add 85 cents for every kilometer over 12 km

For taxis carrying up to 4 passengers (standard taxi) or any multiple hiring:
Booking Fee$1.10 Phone booking fee
Flagfall$4.00 when the meter is started
Distance$2.20 per kilometre for the first 12km. Tariff 2 - $3.05 per kilometre in excess of 12km.
Time$56.24 an hour (93.7 cents per minute) if the speed is below 26 kilometres per hour
Night Rate$2.64 per kilometre (20% surcharge) between Midnight and 6am

Tolls: All road, bridge, ferry, tunnel and airport tolls that apply to the journey, and the return toll for a northbound journey over the Sydney Harbour Bridge or through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel (at the time of crossing).

This N S W Fare Estimator calculates km rate @ $2.64 (country tariff 1 rate) which includes stopping/waiting time at 20% of km rate and includes the applicable phone booking fee.

Maxi Cabs (seating for 6 or more adults, in addition to the driver): Except in the case of a multiple hiring, up to 150% of the maximum fares and charges (excluding tolls) may be charged if:

•The maxi-cab is pre-booked, regardless of the number of passengers

•The maxi-cab is hired from a taxi zone or street hail, if there are 6 or more passengers No more than the maximum fare, if a maxi-cab is hired from a taxi zone or street hail, by up to 5 passengers, or pre-booked for a person using a wheelchair (unless they request a taxi with seating for more than 5 passengers).

Multiple Hirings: 75% of the maximum fare per passenger, for a multiple hiring:
•Agreed to with the consent of the driver and all hirers
•All hirers commence journey at the same time and travel to destinations in same general direction
